How the Repair Process Works
Every motor that enters our shop follows the same disciplined path. We begin with electrical testing and inspection to document the machine’s condition and identify the true point of failure, not just the symptom. From there, our technicians disassemble, rewind, and machine the components that need it, using the materials and insulation classes appropriate to the motor’s duty. Before anything leaves the shop, the rebuilt motor is tested and dynamically balanced so it goes back into service running smoother than it arrived.
For machines that cannot leave the building, gearless traction machines in particular, our onsite field service team brings the rewinding and machining capability to your machine room.
When Repair Is Not Enough, and When It Is More Than You Need
Not every motor problem calls for a full rebuild. If a machine is running but showing its age through carbon buildup, brush wear, or insulation contamination, a scheduled Major Maintenance Service (overhaul) or an annual Motor Cleaning and Maintenance Service can restore performance and extend the machine’s life at a fraction of a rebuild’s cost and downtime. Our team will tell you honestly which level of service the machine actually needs.
